Our Mission
Built by players, for players
Kotofit began with a simple frustration: finding a quality badminton court in America was nearly impossible. So we built the club we couldn't find, and we're bringing it to every neighborhood.
Our mission
Bring badminton and indoor sports to every neighborhood
Badminton is played by hundreds of millions of people worldwide and is often described as one of the world’s most-played participation sports (Badminton World Federation), yet in America, finding a court was nearly impossible. A decent court could be an hour's drive away, hidden inside a school gym or a rec center with limited public access. You'd search online, find nothing, ask around, and still come up empty. For most people, the answer was simply "give up."
The few courts that did exist were rarely built for the sport. Dull lighting, slippery floors, worn-out nets, no proper court lines, the kind of setup that turns a fast, precise game into a frustrating one. Players who grew up with the sport elsewhere knew exactly how good badminton could feel. Here, that standard simply didn't exist.
Even where open play existed, it was a roll of the dice. You'd show up, wait your turn, and hope the rotation matched you with someone close to your level. Too often it didn't, a beginner stuck against advanced players, or a serious athlete stuck in a social game. The mismatch made the experience worse for everyone, and it pushed new players away before they ever got hooked.
And booking felt stuck in the past. Want a court? Call during business hours, leave a message, and hope someone calls back. Or send an email into the void and wait. In a world where you can order dinner, book a flight, and reserve a table in three taps, booking a badminton court still felt like 1995. It didn't have to be this way.
Kotofit exists to fix all of it. We build professional-grade courts with tournament lighting, proper flooring, and real court lines, the standard players in Asia and Europe take for granted, finally available here at home. We replaced phone-tag booking with an app: reserve a court in 30-minute increments, join a leveled open play matched to your skill, and unlock the door right from your phone. No calling. No waiting. No guessing whether you'll actually get to play.
And we're building fast. Clubs are already open across multiple cities, with more on the way, because every neighborhood deserves a court it can actually reach.
More than a court
Your third home
A court is just the start. What we're really building is a place that feels like your third home, somewhere between work and your living room where you walk in and people know your name. Where you find your regular game, your regular crew, and the version of yourself that shows up when you're playing.
It's a place where you belong whether you picked up a racket last week or last decade. Where "never played" is a completely normal thing to say when you sign up for a session. Where leveled open play puts you with players at your pace, the coach remembers your backhand, and the regulars save you a spot in the rotation.
And it's a no-judgment zone. Every level, every age, every background, if you want to play, there's a game here for you. The only thing that matters is that you showed up.
